I have a 2001 Malibu that I cant get the compressor to cycle

Customer Question

I have a 2001 Malibu that I cant get the compressor to cycle or even come on. I can make it run by grounding the relay.
JA: How many miles are on the car? Has the car been starting normally?
Customer: ~80,000 yes starts and runs fine.
JA: Are you fixing your Malibu yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: fixing myself, used to work as mechanic. Charged the system by shorting the relay. Checked the relay by exchanging it with one that is good. Changed the switch in the dash. Cant find the low pressure cut off switch.
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: Just need to know what I overlooked.
