Are you installing a new oxygen sensor?

Would a wiring diagram help?

Customer: replied 13 days ago.
the one after the cat converter and I need to match the wires but they are different colors
Expert:  AMEDEE replied 13 days ago.

Are you installing a universal oxygen sensor?

Customer: replied 13 days ago.
I believe so
Expert:  AMEDEE replied 13 days ago.

I dont recommend using those oxygen sensors. They are pain to install.

I can provide you with a wiring diagram if you think it will help.

Other than that, I would have to leave this question open for other experts.

Let me know.

Customer: replied 13 days ago.
Not sure if wiring diagram would help or not
Expert:  AMEDEE replied 13 days ago.

Me either. I would recommend to get the correct oxygen sensor.

Its either that or I can leave this open for other experts?

Let me know

Customer: replied 13 days ago.

What color wires do you have on the vehicle and what color on the sensor?

Expert:  Mike S. replied 13 days ago.

Plus it would help if you provided the vin because at fist you said 02 now 03, plus you never mention what engine.

Expert:  Mike S. replied 13 days ago.

The 03 I see only came with the 2.2 and those wire colors are brown, black/white, tan/white and purple/white.

Expert:  Mike S. replied 13 days ago.

Here is the wiring diagram, it's at the top.

Expert:  Mike S. replied 13 days ago.

I suggest you follow the wires back to where they come from and check what colors they may change to.

Expert:  Mike S. replied 13 days ago.

Did that answer your question? If so, kindly leave me a positive rating, so I get credit. After all, you have already made the deposit.
If you don't, the deposit you made will just sit there and I won't get my share of it.

Customer: replied 13 days ago.
No I still don't know what colors go to what. But I wired it up the way I think it goes and the car seems to run fine but check engine light still on
Expert:  Mike S. replied 13 days ago.

I suggest you follow the wires back to where they come from and check what colors they may change to or where the come from and check the wiring diagram for what color they should be and mark them with some tape wrapped around it and write the color name on the tape.
