I accidently hooked the battery terminals backwards, hooked

I accidently hooked the battery terminals backwards, hooked it back up right now won't start..it turns over won't start even spraying ether in it..checked all fuses they are good
JA: Have you checked the battery, particularly the terminal connections? Are they corroded?
Customer: battery is good and cleaned terminals it turns over but won't start now
JA: What is the model/year of your Chevy?
Customer: 1988 chevy Cheyenne 305 v8
JA: Are you fixing your vehicle yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: yes fixing on my own...tested everything I could think of...tested coil..power to going to coil and coming out of coil; changed pickup module bottom of distributor that coil hooks to and changed changed whole distributor...Not getting fire or fuel to fuel injection
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: I don't know of athing right now

have you checked your fuses more then likely you blew a few

have you checked the fuel injectors for pulse

there is no pulse could it have it burned up the fuel pump

that's is what it sounds like but I would check the fuel pump relay first

then yeah I would get a fuel pressure gauge and check the fuel pressure at the fuel rail just to be certain but it sounds like the pump to me if you need anything else please let me know and be sure to rate my service when you get the chance
