Drove it to work started up just perfectly this morning

Drove it to work started up just perfectly this morning stayed at work 8 hours come out it want start. Dash board lights up just want start this has happened several times and im getting very frustrated. Im scared to turn ignition off at times because never know when it wi not crank
JA: Have you checked the fuses? The dashboard bulbs?
Customer: E erything lights up except the light on the gear shift. Last time it did this i let it set overnight next day it started right up but i should not have to worry about if my car want crank or not

Customer: No i have a mechanic but when i take it to him it doesnt act up
