I was working on my steering, with the steering wheel

This answer was rated:

I was working on my steering, with the steering wheel disconnected, the steering wheel was moved multiple times. My advanced OBD reader says the steering wheel is not "centered" and my traction control light is now on. How can I recenter the steering wheel? are there any other steps to determine why the traction light is on?

you need a advanced scan tool to set the steering angle sensor...what scan tool are you using?

Customer: replied 5 months ago.
it's an Innova 3160.

you will need either a snap on or a gm tech 2 or another similar high end scan tool to set the steering angle or yaw sensor....most shops that perform wheel alignmnets are equipped....but sorry to say the innova is not capable

Would that set off the traction control system? Thanks for your help!

yes it would store a abs or traction control code....
