JA: How old is your oil pump? Has the check engine light come on?
Customer: not sure age of oil pump. its a 2012. and the engine light came on after the low oil pressure warning me to stop engine
JA: What is the model of your '12 Chevy?
Customer: LS FWD
JA: Are you fixing your vehicle yourself? What have you tried so far?

Hi Im David, have you noticed any visible oil leak is the past? for it to be bone dry it had to go somewhere. have you looked in the engine compartment to see if its covered in oil? go ahead and fill it up with oil, start it for a few seconds, see how its sounds, then let me know.
