2001 Chevy silv security light goes from security to

2001 Chevy silv security light goes from security to battery. I turn key off the security light stays on. It will only fitr up for 2 sec. I replaced ignition switch. Did relearn process at least ten times. It was runng find when I parked it two months ago.
JA: Does the light flash, blink or stay solid? Have you tried to reset the security system?
Customer: The light does not blink. It goes from security to battery.
JA: What is the model of your '01 Chevy?
Customer: Silverado 4.8 engine
JA: Are you fixing your Silverado yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: First tried bypass in ign wires. Then replaced ign switch
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: I am doing it myself. The brakes went completely out before I parked it.
