Just changed distributor on 5.7L 96 K3500. Engine starts

Customer Question

just changed distributor on 5.7L 96 K3500. Engine starts fine ,idle 730, scanner indicates -32 degrees. I used the same scanned on a Pontiac Montana just read 30 degrees. no minus . Truck runs fine but worried too far advanced. gut feeling truck running hotter than normal.
JA: Have you checked the coolant? Have you noticed any leaking?
Customer: yes, no
JA: What year is your Montana?
Customer: Montana is a 2003
JA: Are you fixing your Montana yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: Montana is fine just used to verify scanner reading. no minus sign for timing. Chey has a -32 degree reading. Why.
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: how much?

Hello I will help,

Do you have a P1345 code set?

Does your scanner show you the cam/crank offset in degrees?
