Customer Question

2007 Tahoe-when the lights are on and you open the rear hatch, it shorts out the fuse for the left tail/brake light. Any ideas?

Customer: brake fluid?
JA: What is the model of your '07 Chevy?
Customer: Tahoe
JA: Are you fixing your Tahoe yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: Yes doing ourself-checked fuses
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?

Hello and welcome to just answer. I value your input to my questions so I may help you better. I read your notes of whats happening and the first thing I would like you to check is the wiring that goes from the body of the vehicle to the tailgate. I believe it will be a broken wire in that cord. You may have to remove the coating and boots that hide the wires to check them closely.
