My '08 Colorado crew cab has begun to make a loud, banging

Customer Question

My '08 Colorado crew cab has begun to make a loud, banging noise that seems to be in the drivers side front door. It is as loud as a 12 gauge shotgun. Ideas?
JA: Where exactly do you think the noise is coming from? And how long has this been going on?
Customer: It started 6 days ago. It sounds as if it is in the door.
JA: Are you fixing your Colorado Crew Cab yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: I have done nothing.
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: Seems to happen more in reverse, but has happened in forwars

Hello, my name is ***** ***** I am a professional here at Just Answer. I have noticed that your question was not getting a response and thought I would see if you still need help with this.I apologize for the delay and I hope I can still assist you with this here. If you suspect the noise is coming from inside the door I would start with removing the door panel and see if you can see if something has come loose. I have enclosed the door panel removal steps in the link below. Let remove the pane and see if there is something loose.
