I need to identify the following electrical wire color(s)

Customer Question

I need to identify the following electrical wire color(s) and their location:
1. Tail lights
In the tail light wire harness located on the floor at the gear shift, directly below the instrument center support bracket. the tail light power wire and the back up light power.
2. The fog light switch.
I located the connector for the fog light switch, taped up in the harness, at the water fall. Where does the wire go from there. ( the vehicle DID NOT have fog lights and I want to use the existing, unused wires to install a set). Does it end at another taped up connector or does it run all the way to the correct location in the fuse box under the hood?

Tks for the diagrams. Did you have any thoughts about the unused wires to the fog light switch?
Expert:  Chris (aka-Moose) replied 8 months ago.

I can not confirm where those wires you found go without visibly following them and testing them at both ends. The diagrams do not show if they are connected ready to go and be used.

I'll take a hunch. I'm going on my experiences from my Cadillac days. GM never made more than one wire harness for any vehicle. They just don't hook up the options you don't buy. Since I'm sure the plug I found is for the fog lt Switch I'm just wondering if it runs through the fire wall so I don't need to make a hole for my switch.

You can ohm test it from both ends to see if its does.

That was my plan "B" if I didn't resolve it here. Tks anyway.
