sorry for the delay............
.
Greetings...... “Hi, I’m Don (akaCustomer and I look forward to helping you!”
.
This is typically caused from the Door Latch Switch
The Door Latch Switch sends a Ground to the Driver Door Module
The Driver Door Module sends a signal to the BCM (body control module), that the Door is open & shut off the Timer
Problem with this issue is you need use of GM Dealer Scan Tool to Test the Latch Switch, Driver Door Module & the BCM to pinpoint the cause
apprx 1 hour labor
TRY THIS
Using some Spray Lubricant (wd40, PB Blaster, etc) spray liberal amount into Door Latch located on the side of the Door
Open & close the Door "numerous times", while spraying more lubricant into the Door Latch on each open
See if that helps

On the Door Latch?
IF so, is the Latch making contact with the Switch
Put an Ohm meter on the leads & use a tool to engage the Latch open & closed, while using the Inside Door Handle to open
