The service exhaust system warning light is on, It doesn't

Customer Question

the service exhaust system warning light is on
JA: Do you have the trouble code? Do you have a code reader or scan tool?
Customer: It doesn't give a trouble code just the idiot light. I do have an obd2 or whatever it is. will that work?
JA: I'll pass this info along to the Chevy mechanic so that he can get you a quick fix. What is the make/model/year of your car?
Customer: 2011 Chevy Silverado 3500HD
JA: Are you fixing your Silverado 3500HD yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: This happened a few weeks ago and I was told to take a highway road trip. I did and when I came back it said I would be limited to 55 mph upon next start. which I was had to take it to dealer rand they supposedly cleaned it and cleared the codes, but they are back.
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: not that I can think of
