Check engine light keeps coming on saying there is a cylinder 2 misfire. I changed the spark plugs twice and the coils...light keeps returning. Idle iw
JA: Does the light stay on, or does it blink?
Customer: idle is super rough and around 20 mph the gear kind of skips Light stays on
JA: What is the model/year of your Chevy?
Customer: 2010 cobalt
JA: Are you fixing your Cobalt yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: I did the spark plugs once myself. The mechanic has changed the coils and plugs himself two different times.
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: Feels like the engine lost power. My mpg went from 31 to 26

Hello, there are two more test I would advise

1. Compression test ( to see if head gasket is possibly blown between two cylinders

2. Injector test - One by installing a noid light into the injector connector to make sure the computer is firing it and the other would be a test of the resistance of the injector with an ohm meter to make sure there isn't an open or short in the windings. (compare the ohm reading to the other injectors)
