my fan blower is not working we tried everything
JA: What is the model/year of your Chevy?
Customer: chevy Silverado 2004 pick up 1500
JA: Are you fixing your Silverado yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: yes we are, we tried fixing the wires the ones in the truck on the passenger side it worked for abit then just stopped working again
JA: Have you checked all the fuses? Do you have a wiring diagram?
Customer: we tried replacing a few fuses but still nothing
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: when I turn the knobs for the heat they make a sound like they want to go on but the fan does not go on

lets start with what you have done. what exactly have you tried and tested???

I tried checking the wires the one on the passenger side and tried changing a few fuses

the wires infront of the passenger side the one above the feet beside the bottom of the fan blower.no I don't I'm trying to fix the problem my self as I live in Nunavut and there are no mechanics

I sent you a wiring diagram for you to view.

check both fuses listed. the most common failure is the blower resistor and the blower motor. remove the blower resistor and look for any black marks on the cover. that is an indication of the board being burnt
