Chevrolet Repair Questions? Ask a Chevy Mechanic for Answers ASAP
Hi there, I am Cam. With your Av, do you have any original keys left for it?
Oh no, thats no good. Adding keys when you lost one but still have one is easy enough, but replacing all with non keys can be a problem. Assuming your vehicle is from the USA not export or Canada, you can follow this.
This 30-minute learn procedure should be used when all vehicle keys are desired to be replaced or reprogrammed. This procedure will erase all previously learned vehicle keys from the TDM. Once the 30-minute learn procedure has been completed, any remaining vehicle keys may be programmed using the Adding Keys procedure to ensure their continued functionality.
Important: The TDM learns the key transponder information upon the ignition switch transition from OFF to ON. You must turn the ignition OFF before attempting to start the vehicle.
No, You asked and I have posted the information to relearn the keys.
You have a replacement key, the instructions I posted are to relearn all new keys. Your unlearned Master key is your new unlearned key. Follow through the directions carefully. It will take you 30+ minutes. Do not cut any of the times short or you will need to restart the whole procedure.
How did you make out?
