no power to fuel pump, only one wire hot at relay, car runs fine if I run power streight to fuel pump
JA: Is the power loss consistent, or does it fluctuate?
Customer: consistent, checked PCM conections they look good, no bad wires
JA: What is the model/year of your Chevy?
Customer: 2000 chevy impala with a 3.8
JA: Are you fixing your Impala yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: i replaced the fuel pump because it didnt sound good but the no power problem was there before i change the fuel pump. it just stoped starting. had no pressure at fuel rail theni found the lose of power to the pump
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?

The Fuel Pump Relay is powered from the PCM DARK GREEN / WHITE wire & the Relay is Grounded Behind the instrument panel in the right side of the brake pedal bracket.
So you should have Voltage + on PIN 85 & 87 with Key ON for apprx 3 seconds
Ground on PIN 86
Voltage to the Fuel Pump on PIN 30

IF you do NOT have Voltage at PIN 85, with Key ON, you will need use of Dealer Scan Tool or Equal to Test the PCM & locate the source of why the Fuel Pump is not coming ON.
