Customer Question

Thanks! I have a 2011 silverado 4x4 and am getting a clicking sound from the drivers side wheel area. I checked the wheel bearing/ hub assembly and found zero play. The cv boots are not cracked or torn. Could there be a bad bearing in the cv end?
JA: Where exactly do you think the noise is coming from? And how long has this been going on?
Customer: Definitely from the left side wheel. Noticed about a week ago. Maybe 25 miles since.
JA: Are you fixing your Silverado yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: Yes doing it myself. Tried the wheel bearing and there was no play in it.
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: No that's about it.

Hi and thank you for the question. I'll do my best to help you fix the issue. I do need to ask a few questions first. Does the clicking noise increase and decrease with vehicle speed? Does the noise change on brake apply?
