If you monitor the actual engine temp on your scan tool is the engine actually overheating?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I have no scan tool it goes in the hot mode but does not overheat up underneath the hood
Expert:  Ron replied 1 year ago.

Okay you may have a bad temp sending unit but to verify this you need to be able to read the actual engine temp with a scan tool.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Where is the temperature unit
Expert:  Ron replied 1 year ago.

Its right next to the engine thermostat but before you replace it I would do the testing to be sure it is at fault. I have enclosed the removal steps as well as the testing steps in the links below.
