Hi my name is ***** ***** I will be happy to assist with this today. In some cases I may need more info to assist better.I apologize for any delay.

Is the shifter moving from park at all or is it stuck in any gear?

Can you check and see if you have brake lights with the brake pressed?

Let me know so we can continue, thanks Pete.

Is there anyone there? Hello?
Expert:  Pete replied 1 year ago.

O.k.,if your able to move the shifter through all of the gear positions with no resistance and your brake lights are working most likely this is due to the common fault of the shifter cable that leads from the shifter to the transmission either coming loose from the transmission or breaking needing replaced.

The shifter cable needs to be inspected to see if it is broken.Inspect on the drivers side of the transmission where the cable connects to see if it came loose from the transmission. If it did then it needs snapped back onto the transmission shift linkage ball and if it will not stay on then the cable needs replaced.
