When accelerating the ac will stop working and the truck

Customer Question

When accelerating the ac will stop working and the truck sounds like it's not getting enough gas... Or air... It sputters
JA: Has the vehicle turned into a gas hog? And how does it start -- same as usual?
Customer: Same as usual all around... It's old not sure exactly what year
JA: What is the model/year of your Chevy?
Customer: It's an S10 truck in the 1990's I think
JA: Are you hoping to fix this yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: Yes, changed the air filter, gas filter
JA: Anything else you think the mechanic should know?
Customer: Not that I can think of

Hello and welcome! My name isCustomerand I can assist you with your question. Is the check engine light on? Are there any codes in the computer? Can I start by getting your VIN? Thank you!
