Yukon xl 2003 - two questions
Do you have a user manual and
When I turn the car on, where the speedometer is says Driver 1. What does that mean? Can you set different things for different drivers i.e.; seat position? If so, could you give me directions?

Hi my name is ***** ***** I will be happy to assist with this today. In some cases I may need more info to assist better.I apologize for any delay.

You can download the owners manual from the GM web site posted below at no charge from them.It will show what the driver 1 and driver 2 features are as well as how to set these as well as all other component functions in your model here.

Driver 1 is your first driver or person using the vehicle the most. You can usually store seat settings and in some cases other functions. All models are different on what can be stored for each driver position.

Here is some text for the drivers setting controls:

These buttons are used to program and recall memory
settings for the driver’s seat, throttle and brake
pedals, both the driver’s and passenger’s outside mirror,
and the radio station presets. The settings for these
features can be personalized for both driver 1 and
driver 2. Driver 1 or driver 2 corresponds to the memory
buttons labeled 1 and 2 on the driver’s door and the
numbers on the back of the remote keyless entry
transmitters.

To store your memory seat, throttle and brake pedals,
mirrors and radio presets, do the following:
1. Adjust the driver’s seat (including the seatback
recliner, lumbar, and side wing area), throttle
and brake pedals, both of the outside mirrors, and
the radio station presets to your preference.
2. Press and hold the 1 or 2 (for driver 1 or 2) button
of the memory control for three seconds. A double
chime will sound to let you know that the position
has been stored.
To repeat the procedure for a second driver, follow the
preceding steps, but press the other numbered
memory control button.
Each time button 1 or 2 is pressed and released while
the vehicle is in PARK (P), a single chime will sound and
the memory position will be recalled.
If you use the unlock button on the remote keyless entry
transmitter to enter your vehicle, the preset driver’s
seat, throttle and brake pedal, mirror positions and the
radio station presets will be recalled if programmed
to do so through the Driver Information Center (DIC).
See DIC Operation and Displays on page 3-43.
The numbers on the back of the transmitters, 1 or 2,
correspond to the numbers on the memory controls.

The seat, throttle and brake pedals and mirror positions
can also be recalled when placing the key in the
ignition if programmed to do so through the Driver
Information Center (DIC). See DIC Operation and
Displays on page 3-43.
To stop recall movement of the memory seat feature at
any time, press one of the memory buttons or power
seat controls.
Easy Exit Seat
The controls for this memory function are located on the
driver's door.
ii! (Easy Exit Seat): This button is used to program
and recall the desired driver's seat position when
exiting/entering the vehicle. The seat position, can be
personalized for both driver 1 and driver 2.
To store the seat exit position for driver 1 or 2, do the
following:
1. Select the desired driver number by pressing and
releasing the 1 or 2 button or by pressing the
unlock button on the number 1 or 2 remote
keyless entry transmitter. The seat will move to the
stored memory position.

2. Adjust the seat to the desired exit position.
3. Press and hold the exit button of the memory
control for three seconds. A double chime will sound
to let you know that the position has been stored
for the identified driver (1 or 2).
To use the seat exit position, do one of the following:
Press the exit button on the memory control.
Or, if this feature is enabled (active) in the DIC,
then removing the key from the ignition will
cause the seat to move to the exit position

We are having a problem locating any memory control button?
Expert:  Pete replied 11 months ago.

What does your drivers door have for controls?Does it show 1 and 2 and above that an exit button? Is it any of these that you are looking for?

Customer: replied 11 months ago.
We can't find anything that has a 1 or 2 located on it, that's the problem
Expert:  Pete replied 11 months ago.

Nothing on the drivers door or possibly near the seat controls that has a 1 or 2 on it?

Customer: replied 11 months ago.
I'll have to check tomorrow
Expert:  Pete replied 11 months ago.

O.k.,let me know what you come up with here when your ready.

Thanks Pete

Customer: replied 11 months ago.
I don't see anything. But I'm assuming since the readout says driver 1 that it's somewhere and I'm just not finding it. Hence why I posted this question thanks
Expert:  Pete replied 11 months ago.

That is odd as my info shows it should be on the drivers door above the window switch controls. If your model has the drivers information center that you can scroll through can you try and scroll through it and see if these options are in there at all and let me know?

Thanks Pete

Customer: replied 11 months ago.
No drivers information center

O.k.,do your keyless entry remotes have any numbers on the back like 1 and 2 at all?
