Customer Question

Good Morning Bill,
I have a 2015 Malibu chevy. I have notice that the blue lights where the radio and ac controls, are dimmed and not as bright as before, as my screen from the radio. I notice this on Tuesday when I briefly notice while i was driving a message come across stating battery re-charging. My auto stop also is not as noticeable. I looked at my battery voltage and it goes up and down 12.3-13.4. I do not hear the restart as I did before when I stop the car, it is not giving me that kick that I have become accustom to. I notice the blue lights and the bright screen even during the day. My ac does reve up it just seems different. Sorry this is so much to ask...

Hello Maritza,

Sounds like a charging system issue, causing many faults.

I would recommend you take your car to your local Chevrolet dealer.

The car is still under factory warranty.

Hope this helps you.

Thank you, ***** ***** take it. Just out of curiosity can it mean I may need a new battery. Will I ever need to replace the batter that is in my trunk? or does this charge automatically It does not have warranty due to that I purchased it from Enterprise dealer so it is used.

Hi again,

You may need a new battery, but it may be fine, once the fault is fixed.

The battery in your trunk might average 4 years under normal conditions.

The engine's alternator charges the battery in the trunk.

I hope this helps you.

Kind regards
