i have a Chevrolet silverodo suburban k1500 i took out the 4l60e transmission and transfer case and put in a 4l80e transmission and transfer case that matched it. but the wiring harness is not the same for the 4l80e. i don't have the two wires that support the 4l80e. the 4l80e has two plugs. one front and back of the transmission above the main plug that plugs into the transmission. how do i wire it to get it too work right and shift into all the gears? the transmission has park, revers, neutral and 2nd.

This is not going to be easy. Not only do you have to replace the wire harness, you will also have to replace the pcm. The pcm for this truck with the 4l60e trans can not be used witht he 4l80e transmission.

Do you have access to the other truck to remove the pcm and wire harness out of? Did both trucks have the same size engine in them? What year truck did the 4l80e trans come out of?
