Is the vehicle stock or have you removed parts or added parts to make it run with more power?

Is there exhaust smoke on startup or while its cleaning or while driving?

Any codes stored?

Customer: replied 11 months ago.
The vehicle is stock. It does not smoke in either case and the code l believe is P0420.

Perform a regeneration and monitor the exhaust temperature sensor #2 to be over 1000 degrees with temperature sensor #1 more than 600 degrees. If the #2 exhaust temperature is cool, remove the hydrocarbon injector from the exhaust down pipe. With the engine running, energize the hydrocarbon injector and expect fuel to exit the injector nozzle. If no fuel, replace the injector and verify diesel fuel is present at the injector during disassembly. Your symptoms indicate the injector is bad and not providing fuel to the DPF to clean it out.

Hello again Chris here,

  • I am contacting you because the post has not been closed out/completed.
  • It appears you were not pleased with my help.
  • If more assistance is needed, reply and let me know, also let me know what it is you're needing to be pleased.
  • This post is coming up on the 7 day mark where it times out. When a post times out, that means it's no longer on my active list (you reply and I never know it.)
  • You have already paid the fees to get this question answered, and I do not want you to leave having paid for something that did not meet your wants/needs and myself not receiving a feedback selection from yourself.

Thanks Chris
