My husband pressure washed motor truck went into limb modes and not it want idle
JA: How many miles are on the car? What size is the engine?
Customer: 5.7 15000
JA: What is the model/year of your Chevy?
Customer: 1994 Chevy pickup*****
JA: Are you hoping to fix this yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: New cap and rotary button and idle air valve new but no check engine light no codes
JA: Anything else you think the mechanic should know?

It is apparent that water intruded into the ignition system and most likely the primary which means to remove the distributor cap and check for any signs of moisture. you may have to blow it out really well if you hace access to shop air or compressed air. Start with that and let me know what you found....Also check all the connectors going into the distributor and coil.

All that is good we just checked that it is getting to much fuel and just tryed starting fire came out of carb

sounds like it is out of time....when you guys replaced the distributor how did you make sure you put the distributor back in the exact same position it came out?

or you have some plug wires crossed up on the distributor cap itself...check that first
