when I start my 1993 chevrolet 1500 truck the heat is on, no matter what the setting was when the truck was turned off

Customer: coolant level is good,thermostat in the engine is working fine

Customer: chevrolet c/k 1500

Customer: haven't tried anything, didn't know where to start

I have noticed that your question was not getting a response and thought I would see if you still need help with this.I apologize for the delay and I hope I can still assist you with this here. The temperature is controlled by the temp control cable and I would start with making sure its adjusted properly and actually closing the blend door while in the cold position.
