I have a 2006 Chevy Trailblazer and the AC is not working

Customer Question

i have a 2006 Chevy Trailblazer and the AC is not working consistently. It comes on and off on short trips but on longer trips it will cut out completely and just blow warm air. I have checked the coolant level (fine), changed the AC relay in the fuse box, and installed a new belt tensioner. Still no change.....any ideas??
JA: How many miles are on the car? Has the car been starting normally?
Customer: 160,000 miles and yes, it starts fine
JA: Are you hoping to fix this yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: yes, changed AC relay, belt tensioner, and checked the freon level
JA: Anything else you think the mechanic should know?
Customer: AC works when car hasn't been driven for awhile but works less and less the more you drive it. Still blows air, it is just hot air instead of cold

what were the low side reading and high side reading on the a./c gauges when you checked ?

when you are losing the cool air is the compressor cutting off or inside the dash the blend doors are moving ?

please let me know the a/c low & high reading we have to start from there
