I was driving my car and it got stuck in neutral and won't

Customer Question

I was driving my car and it got stuck in neutral and won't move out of neutral
JA: What is the model/year of your Chevy?
Customer: 2003 Chevy Trailblazer
JA: Are you hoping to fix this yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: I tried shutting it out of gear but I think it might have a low transmission fluid cause I found the leak under the car
JA: When was the last time your transmission fluid was checked? Changed?
Customer: Well I just checked it and hasn't been changed
JA: Anything else you think the mechanic should know?
Customer: That is stuck in neutral when doesn't want to get up when I was driving it and it just not reversing to get into neutral
JA: OK. Got it. I'm sending you to a secure page on JustAnswer so you can place the $5 fully-refundable deposit now. While you're filling out that form, I'll tell the Chevy Mechanic about your situation and then connect you two.

does the shifter actually shift the transmission into any gears or does it feel not connected or loose ?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
It doesn't shift out of gear doesn't do anything just stuck in neutral

can you bet under the drivers side of the truck and see if the shift cable has popped off the little shift lever on the transmission ?

if so pop it back on with a pair of pliers

does the shifter physically move through the gers and it just will nto move ?
