I have a 2003 Chevy Silverado 1500 4x4 and it's been making a noise that sound like a cv joint knuckle knocking into a heat shield but it's not that. Any idea of where yo look next

We thought it was coming from front right wheel but after further exploring now sounds like it's near right rear wheel

Hi have you verified that there is fluid in the front diff and it is not making noise from the front diff? Thank you I will try and help you with your issue.

Update saw you now thing it's from the rear. You may have a issue with rear parking brake shoes

Front diff is at correct level, brakes are complete rebuild including parking brake (shoes springs & hardware), caliper, rotors, pads, lines & fluid on a four wheels

Yes i can see you have a bit of work there! Have you checked rear pinion gear play if any?
