Chevrolet Repair Questions? Ask a Chevy Mechanic for Answers ASAP
Hi my name is ***** ***** I will be happy to assist on this today.
Can you verify the year of this model so I can check the actuator controls?
Let me know,thanks Pete
O.k.,your model has a vacuum tank on it.This holds vacuum under acceleration so the ac vents operate properly. When vacuum loss occurs this causes the vents to switch to defrost or heater when this vacuum tank/ball is leaking or if there is a break in the vacuum lines or weak vacuum from the engine.
In most cases the fault is a leaking vacuum tank or leaking vacuum line to the tank.In the diagram below you can see the vacuum tank on your model.I have seen some located under the hood,on the inner fender or under the battery tray.Inspect and locate this vacuum tank and check it for any issues needing replaced.
Let me know if you need anything else and feel free to rate my help here as this is how I receive credit for my time.
I apologize as it didnt load up.Let me try it again here.
i cant tell where that is on that van
I apologize for the delay.
In some cases it is located under the battery tray, have you inspected to see if this is where it is located at all?
