Customer Question

My 1999 Chevrolet Suburban has an intermittent miss and rough running above 2000 RPM. It seams fine below that. It is flagging a code of P1153. I just put in new spark plugs, wires, rotor and distributor cap. This did not help to smooth out the engine.
JA: Have you checked all the fuses? Do you have a wiring diagram?
Customer: I do not have a wiring diagram, but can check fusses.
JA: What is the model of your '99 Chevy?
Customer: 1500 4X4
JA: Are you hoping to fix this yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: I am mechanic. Read my first post for what I have done up till now.
JA: Anything else you think the mechanic should know?
Customer: The engine is a 5.7 L Vortec.
JA: OK. Got it. I'm sending you to a secure page on JustAnswer so you can place the $5 fully-refundable deposit now. While you're filling out that form, I'll tell the Chevy Mechanic about your situation and then connect you two.

Hello, my name is***** code usually means the bank 2 sensor 1 oxygen sensor has failed. I'd start by unplugging the oxygen sensors to see if it runs better, if so replace the bank 2 sensor 1 oxygen sensor. Let me know if you have more questions, thanks.
