Customer Question

My 2004 silverado started displaying the "service*****quot; light. Some times the indicator lights on the selector switch go out completely. Is my problem in the selector switch or bad ground?

good morning my name is ***** ***** I will assist

yes it is possible the switch is the issue. can you remove the switch and test for power to the rear of the switch???

I'll check that in the next couple days. Is there anything else I should check?
Expert:  Roy replied 1 year ago.

make sure all fuses are good. there is a code stored in the system for the failure. do not clear the codes until they are read so we can narrow down the area of failure. clearing does nothing as the issue exists.
