When the blower motor does work, is it only the highest speed setting?- Does this vehicle have Auto Temp Control?

Hello and welcome to JustAnswer! You may have more than one issue going on. The same thing could be causing both problems or you could have a separate issue causing the motor to work intermittently and then only on high when it does work.Possible causes for this would be the control head, wiring, the blower motor itself, and the blower motor controller. The blower motor controller is a solid state relay which actually supplies power to the motor based on a signal from the control head. The most likely cause for both problems would be the blower motor controller or the blower motor itself. If there are no visible issues with connections or wiring then the first step will be to use a test light to see if the blower motor is receiving power and ground when it wont work. If it is then it will need to be replaced. If power or ground is missing then testing of the blower motor controller's power, ground and signal will need to be done to see if it is receiving correct inputs, and if ok then it can be condemned.
