While trying to change out side door hadle the rod for it has come undone form where it goes inside not sure where it go

Customer: Out side drivers door handel was broke and inside one was too so while changing inside one decided to change outside one but rod that goes to outside handel has come off the latch not sure how to put it or where it attaches
