Driver's side seat latch does not release the seat . What is involved? thanks

Hello, the knob is attached to a metal bracket that is one piece with the recliner, you will have to remove the padding to access the mechanism to see if it can be lubed or if the metal bracket had broken, i have been trying to find a diagram to assist but the older cars information was not as friendly as it is today. i will see what i can come up with but it is a one piece bracket.
