Can I fit my olds 350 casting number 39558 in my 91 Chevy

Customer Question

Can I fit my olds 350 casting number 39558 in my 91 Chevy 1500? I know I'll need a trans adapter but do not know of the motor mounts will match up

The engine mounts will not line up. The Rocket motor is wider and can cause clearance issues. You could fabricate mounts for it, but then exhaust and steering issues will also come into play. Might be better to find a guy that needs a rocket and sell it to him, then buy a Chevy motor. Not saying it can't be done, but it would be a lot of work.
