Hello, my name is***** fuel pump flow control module is what controls fuel pressure on this vehicle. What is the problem customer is having? Thanks

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
OK where is that at and hard starting, acting like the fuel in not holding pressure after car is shut off.
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
what does the part look like?
Expert:  Dan replied 1 year ago.

Does it seem to run fine after it does start or run rough?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
That one I dont know right now
Expert:  Dan replied 1 year ago.

This would most likely mean the high pressure fuel pump has failed. Problem would either be leaking injector or fuel pump, more likely pump. It is a 1.2 hour job book rate to replace and here are replacement instructions. Let me know if you have more questions, thanks.

if it runs fine after it is started that is what is wrong with it? And where is the fuel pressure sensor on the motor just wondering?
Expert:  Dan replied 1 year ago.

That wouldl point toward pump. Here is a picture.

so this is what you think it is?
Expert:  Dan replied 1 year ago.

That is the high pressure fuel pump.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Ik that or did you mean you think the main fuel pump is out, what did you think was wrong.
Expert:  Dan replied 1 year ago.

That is correct, the high pressure fuel pump is the most likely cause of symptoms you are describing.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
ok thanks and I will let you know if I have anymore questions thanks for your help
Expert:  Dan replied 1 year ago.

No problem, make sure to let me know if you need anything. Thanks again and have a good night!

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Ok I asked and they said it does run rough once in awhile, still think it is that high pressure fuel pump then?
Expert:  Dan replied 1 year ago.

Probably but to know for sure you would want to check for bleeding injectors during loss of pressure. If injectors arent leaking then replace pump.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Whats the best way to check that?
Expert:  Dan replied 1 year ago.

By removing fuel rail but you should be able to look into spark plug hole and see/smell fuel too. Let me know how it goes, thanks.
