Customer Question

I own a 1998 Chevy Tahoe 4wd. Both headlights just recently went out, but my high beams work fine. Dash messages are coming off and on and the radio cuts off but will come right back on. Read a couple of forums with similar issues. Some say alternator voltage output...multi function switch...what should I do to fix the problem...

good afternoon my name is ***** ***** I will assist

have you replaced the headlights???

I would check the voltage at the battery with the engine running. it should be 14 to 14.5 volts. if it is above 15 volts, then the alternator is no good and can cause all your issues

Headlights have been replaced. Issues occurred before and after replacement.
