The service suspension system light comes on on my Chevy

Customer Question

The service suspension system light comes on on my Chevy avalanche after taking it to the snow over the weekend. I had chains on the rear tires only and drove in 2wd

Hi there, I am Cam.

Sorry to hear about the issue. Can I get your first name?

Did they say what parts needed to be replaced?
My suspicion is that the chains may have contacted the sensor or the shock wiring and damaged those, causing this issue.

IF possible do you have the codes that set to turn the warning light on?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
My first name is Lesley. Unfortunately I don't have the codes right now, but I may be able to get them tomorrow. They weren't specific, they just told me it'd cost $3,000 and that eventually my front suspension would go out.

Please get them. It's sounds fishy that thy simply post a large quote with no specifics. Let's get more details and follow up before doing any of the work.

Ok, thank you. I will work on getting the codes ASAP.
