Do you know the part number for the EVAP line with the quick connect fitting?

Welcome, I'm Chris (aka Moose) I'm an independent contractor here at Just Answer.

I doubt the EVAP line is the blame. Can you disconnect this fitting and duct tape over both ends to close it off. Does it start better now?

Thanks for asking your question and letting me try to help you.

There are not two ends to duct tape over. It is the line that leads to the purge solenoid valve, it has a white/grey clip which fastens the line to the purge valve. The clip is broke which does not allow a good connection, i do not think it allows pressure to build causint the rough start.

The line connects to GM part #12597567. here is a link to the picture.

Where the clip is broken, can you not pull that fitting apart?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
the fitting comes appart. I believe the line that i am speaking of is the early fuel evaporation tube. It is listed as #735 on this diagram.

Can you pull it apart and cover both ends with tape and test?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I can only disconnect one end, the one that leads to the purge valve, where the quick connect clip is broken. If you look at the picture I shared the link to i think you will understand. Doesn't the purge valve regulate the fuel vapors that enter the engine? I will attach a file with the line i am talking about. Its line #735 on the photo.

I know the hose your referring to. I just want you to seal it with tape or cap it off so it can not leak allowing flow in or out and see if it starts easier.
