Have a 2005 Trail Blazer with a 4.2l L6 engine. Cranks over

Customer Question

Have a 2005 Trail Blazer with a 4.2l L6 engine. Cranks over but will not start. Has 60lbs fuel pressure also checked spark on #2 cyl which looks good and no compression problems. What am I missing? Can a problem with a VVT solenoid cause a no start condition? Or something in the emissions system??? I hate to be a parts replacer but I am lost, by the way no codes set, replaced crank and cam sensor. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi there, I am Cam.

Lets try one thing. If you spray a little fuel in the throttle body or air filter, does it fire even for a moment?

Usually the VVT does not cause a no start. It moved the exhaust cam timing but not enough to stop it from starting.
