Customer Question

I have a 2006 silverado 4x4, 5.3, Front rotors, back drums.
When completely stopped on ice and in auto 4x4, it drives to the right. I can't stop it. Sensors, brakes, transfer case? Anyone know what is going wrong?

is the abs light on?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I didnt notice it at the time. I was trying to keep it from driving into the car next to me. No ice on the road so I can't test it now.

was the pedal pulsing?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
No pulsing, no abs, the truck is completely stopped. No forward momentum. The front just starts driving left. It is like one of the driver side wheels is applying power. I take it out of auto 4x4 and everything is fine.

is the brake working? do you have a collapsed hose?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Brakes seem to work normaly. When stopping on ice ABS kicks in and pulses to a stop. Brakes do pull to the right until stopped. I am a little out of alignment.

sounds like you have a caliper or brake hose failure have you pulled the wheels and checked the brakes and the caliper and hose
