HI, changing out fuel pump 2001 Chevy express 4.3, old connector-A/Purple, B/ Gray, C/Blk, D/Blk&Wt. New connector (Delphi) Precise pump, Org/Blk, Gray Lg wire, purp, Blk Lg wire.

hi, the grey wire goes to the grey lg wire

the purple wire goes to the purple wire

the black wire goes to the black lg wire and the

black/wh wire goes to the orange/blk wire

the grey is for the fuel pump hot and the blk for the fuel pump ground

the purple wire is for the fuel gauge and the org/blk is for the fuel gauge ground ..jazzmaster ..

also, it is a good idea to hook up the pump ,before putting it back in and just turning the key to on to make sure the pump comes on for 2-3 seconds ,then it will shut off .

then with the key still on .move the float level up to make sure the fuel pump level is working ..thank you ..jazzmaster ..
