how do I time the chevy cruze ecotec 1.8 liter .

do you have any access to the cam locking tool # ***** in this picture ?

if so the cam marks are shown in the first picture and the second picture is where the crank needs to be to time this engine

if you do not have the cam tool align the crank like the picture and eye the cam marks to the picture and once the belt is on turn the crank by hand 2 turns by hand to be sure after the 2 turns the marks are back where you set them and you feel NO interference when turning it over by had as this is an interference engine and if the timing is wrong it can bend valves
