Customer Question

06 trailblazer , recent purchase. ran smooth at purchase had about a fourth of tank of gas in it.. After tank was filled , vehicle began running rough, sputtering. Assumed bad gas, added gas treatment, didn't seem to help much, but as the gas level went down vehicle seemed to run better. And the sputtering and power loss was better above 40 mph. Bought another tank of gas , different location, and now its even worse. Didn't think I would make it home, same thing though, its better 40mph or higher. Also the engine light blinks off and on.

Have you checked codes in the computer? If not, have your local auto parts store check codes. Let me know code numbers and we can proceed from there.

fuel system too lean, coil/plug misfire and cooling wire system and all this was prior to it running rough . just engine light coming on periodically

See if you can get the code number for the misfire, this will help to narrow down which cylinder is misfiring. For example, P0302 shows a misfire on cylinder #2. Inspect wiring to #2 cylinder injector and coil. Then you would replace #2 spark plug first, then #2 ignition coil.
