Customer Question

I have a 2008 Impala with less than 9000 miles with a new battery that won't hold a charge. In January the car was in for a recall of the Key. Soon after I had to jump to start. The battery would start the car after standing about 6 weeks and progressively has gotten worse. Now the battery will not start the car after standing one week. The dealer suggested I start the car a couple times a week to keep the battery charged. The alternator charges the battery after jumping. In any event the charge should last a month or two. Any suggestions would be appreciated..

It sounds like it has whats called a "parasitic draw"

Do you know what that is and do you know if it was tested for that?
