how can i reset it. or do i have to take my car in to see what is going on.
the alarm worked just fine, then the auto start started messing up and not long after that the remote would not let me lock all my doors, i now have to lock them manually. i do not like locking them that way with out turning on the alarm. i did change out the battery's on the remote.

Greetings...... “Hi, I’m Don (aka MOLurch) and I look forward to helping you!”

Thank you.........
IF it is Factory, the most common issue is the Hood Switch, which would cause the Remote Start not to work & the Alarm to False or not Arm.
The Hood Switch is part of the Hood Latch, has 3 wires in a Gray Plug.
You can disconnect to test.
IF that is not the issue, then you will need use of GM Dealer Scan Tool to test the BCM (body control module) & the Communication Module.
Please have ALL Remotes when Testing is done
