Customer Question

i have a 2010 chevy equinox 4 cylinder, i have the codes p0017 p0014 p0016, i already replaced the 2 cam sensors and the crank sensor as well and also did oil change, yet when i clear the code and drive it after 10-15 mins the light comes back on with the same code.

I am sorry for the long wait

how does it run at idle and when driving down the road ?

at idle is there any noise at all from the timing chain front cover ?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
it idles good, and no there is no noise but i feel like the car dosnt have the power that it should have, like its a little heavy

with all new sensors and it still setting these code and the oil is full very common the issue is too much play in the timing chain or the chain has jumped just 1 tooth which would set the codes and also cause the lower power issue

with everything you have done the only thing left is to have the timing cover removed and more than likely the timing chain replaced on this engine

such an issue they sell timing chain kits for these engines

it is best to fix now as very soon the chain will jump more or break and can damage the engines valves if the cam to piston timing get more off than it already is
