Hello and welcome to Justanswer!
If the blower motor still runs at a normal speed when this happens then the issue is a physical blockage in the heater box. It could be a door issue but it's more likely to be debris or ice. There could be debris in the heater box such as from a rodent nest.
The fact that airflow comes back after shutting it off leads me to believe the issue is ice though. If condensation isn't draining from the heater box quickly enough it can start to form ice on the evaporator. The longer it runs it will accumulate more which will block airflow. Shutting the a/c off allows the ice to melt so airflow returns. If this is what's happening then a restricted heater box drain is most likely.
